Freshman Outfielder Makani Nabarro scored the series clinching run as Cuesta Baseball advanced into the CCCAA Super Regionals for the first time since 2016.   Nabarro went 5-for-11, including a double, and stole six bases in the Cougars' three-game series against Glendale, while also flawlessly handling 11 chances in centerfield.  He batted in the 5th spot in the opener and went 0-2 with an RBI but moved up behind leadoff hitter Diego Murillo in the next two games to finish with five hits in Cuesta's back-to-back wins. He went 3-for-5 and scored four times in Game 2 and then went 2-for-4 in the series finale, while scoring three times, including the series' clincher.  Nabarro's bottom of the 9th attempt at a sacrifice bunt in Game 3 was the series most significant play.  The Vaqueros targeted Murillo, the lead runner, as he tried to advance into scoring position, but an errant throw allowed him to score the tying run, while Nabarro legged his way to third base.  Two intentional walks later, Nabarro scored the winning run on a base-hit from Hayden Kline, which sent the Cougars to the next playoff round.
