Men's Basketball Plays Two Games This Week

Men's Basketball had only one game last week, but the team's 200-point game at Hartnell pushed the Cougars to edge.  Cuesta held on to beat their host, 102-99, when Hartnell's final shot went offline at the buzzer.  Freshman Guard Aaron Russell (pict-R) and all-WSC Forward Juani Dassie (pict-L) both cleared the 20-points barrier to lead the Cougars with 29 and 22 points, respectively.  Dassie also grabbed a team-high eight rebounds, while fellow Forward Mason Romano (pict-R) led the team with both five assists and two steals, as well as 15 points of his own.  The victory moved the Cougars back to .500 for the season at 6-6 overall.

The Cougars have two more game scheduled towards the end of Cuesta's Finals Week.  The Cougars travel to fellow .500 team Bakersfield on Thursday (7 PM) and host Fresno, at 5-1, on Saturday (7 PM).
