Women's Volleyball Hits the Road for Two Matches this Week

Cuesta Women's Volleyball returns to action this week with a pair of matches on the road, one against the Western State Conference and one non-conference.  The Cougars open the week in Moorpark on Wednesday (7 PM) with a WSC Match against the 11th-ranked Raiders.  On Saturday, the Spikers face their final non-conference opponent of the season, when they travel to Porterville for a "getaway" game at 2 PM.

The Cougars are currently mired in a seven-match slump, after falling at LA Mission on Friday. The host Eagles squeaked out the opener, 26-24, and took control of the match after winning Game 2, 25-19.  Cuesta battled back to win the third set, 25-23, to avoid the sweep, but Mission closed out the match in Game 4, 25-15, to take the match, 3-1.  The loss drops the Cougars 3-12 on the season and 0-2 against the WSC.
