Cuesta's Women Harriers Finish 2nd at the Tour de Cuesta

Cuesta Women's Cross Country opened the 2021 season with a strong showing on their home Fairbanks Course in the Tour de Cuesta.  They finished 2nd as a team behind 2019 CCCAA Regional Champion Hartnell, while outpacing 2019 CCCAA Regional Runner-up Saddleback to take the Silver.  Hartnell's Valeria Gomez-Lozano won the event in a time of 20:31.6, with Cuesta Freshman Dulce Esquivel (SLO HS) coming in two places later at 20:57.2.  Fellow Freshman Julia Voss (SLO HS) landed in 5th place, while Freshman Adrienne Frere (Morro Bay HS) and 2019 All-WSC selection Shannon Ferrall (Arroyo Grande HS) rounded out the Top 10 in the 9th (22:16.6) and 10th (22:40.7) place, respectively.  Promising Freshman Chloe Denham (Moorpark HS) completed the Cougars' scoring team, as the fifth Cuesta Harrier to cross the line, with a 16th place finish (23:44.6).
