Cagers Fall to Top-Ranked Sequoias
Cuesta Men's Basketball went to Visalia last week to face the only other one-loss team in the State- College of the Sequoias.  The game was built into a de-facto State Championship setting, but the host Giants held their home court, 91-57.  The Cougars' shooting was off all game.  They shot only 28% from the floor and shot under 50% from the charity stripe.  Sequoias outscored Cuesta by 23 points in each half, while Freshman Forward Ivan Faraone was the only Cuesta player to reach double-figures in scoring and led the Cougars with 10 points in the game.  The Cougars are 2-2 on the year.

COMING UP- The Cagers close out their 2020-21 season at Bakersfield on Thursday (7 PM). A win against the Renegades, who are 4-2, would place the Cougars right behind Sequoias in the State for season win-percentage.  Bakersfield beat Cerro Coso in back-to-back overtime wins last Thursday and Friday.  The Cougars had fallen to Cerro Coso by one-point (75-74) in their home opener on March 12.
