Regarded as one of the most beautiful running parks in the country and the home for the Cougars' Harriers.   Fairbanks is also used year round for cross training by the rest of Cuesta’s teams and many local high schools and running clubs. Cuesta/Fairbanks is cradled by the coastal mountain range and incorporates the local creeks and rolling hills into the course. The course’s soft track is meticulously manicured and the prevailing breeze from nearby Morro Bay keeps the course at a comfortable temperature on the hottest days. Cuesta/Fairbanks was the host site for the 1999 State Cross-Country Championships.
