Anthony Geiger joined the Cuesta Athletic Staff in the Fall of 2008 and immediately made an impact on each of the Cougars’ teams.  Anthony has packed an extensive resume into the last few years and his knowledge and experience make him a valuable member of the staff.  He works in conjunction with fellow Athletic Trainer Brittany Bauer to give Cuesta more flexibility in their event coverage and provide full care to the student-athletes

Anthony is a product of the community college system and earned his Associates Degree at Butte College before earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, with an emphasis in athletic training from Fresno State in 2006.  In the Fall of 2006, Anthony became a certified athletic trainer through National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC).

From 2007 -2013, Anthony worked at nearby Cal Poly.   His sport assignments at Cal Poly include football, wrestling and track & field.   He began his career as an athletic training student at Butte College working with the Roadrunners football, basketball and baseball teams.  While at Fresno State, he traveled with the football team in the fall and the track and field team in the spring as a senior athletic training student.  Prior to his move to San Luis Obispo, Anthony spent the 2006-07 school year in Stockton as an athletic trainer intern at the University of the Pacific and also worked as the head athletic trainer for the Stockton Lightning Arena football team.
