Baseball Returns to Action with the Cuesta/Hancock Spring Break Tournament

Baseball is back in action this week with the Cuesta/Hancock Spring Break Classic.  The Cougars host four games scheduled this week, including #25 Cypress on Tuesday (2 PM) and #17 Merced on Thursday (1 PM). The Cougars also play Cerritos (2:30) on Wednesday and end the week with a Western State Conference make-up game against Santa Barbara City on Friday (2:30). 

Cuesta's nine-game winning streak came to an end in an 11-inning loss to Santa Barbara City, 7-5, last Tuesday, but their games scheduled for Thursday and Saturday were postponed for Covid Protocols.  The loss cut the Cougars' lead in the Western State Conference standings to two games, over both the Vaqueros and Ventura, with eight games to play.  Cuesta is 17-12 on the season and 13-3 against the WSC.
