Cuesta College Athletics Department is proud to announce this month's selections for the Cuesta Athlete of the Month. This distinct honor recognizes two Cuesta College Athletes each month during the school year who have performed to the highest standards in their sport. Our male selection for March is Sophomore Outfielder Jack Clothier
The Cuesta Lumber Company currently leads the State with 41 home runs over the first 28 games of the season. The middle of the Cougars' batting order has propelled the Cuesta into the State's Top 10 and is feared Statewide. Sophomore Rightfielder Jack Clothier has been a major part of the Cougars' power production. Clothier has been a force in the middle of their line-up this season. He leads the team with 35 RBI and has a lofty .400 batting average, which includes 16 extra base hits in the past 28 games. Clothier has proven to be a player to be counted on with his consistent production this season. He has also been flawless with 55 chances in the outfield.
The Cougars are currently 21-7 overall and 11-3 in Western State Conference play. They shall complete WSC play in this month.
