Returning Freshman Guard Darryl Brooks II (Menemonee Falls, WI) enjoyed a big week for the Cougars. He pulled down a team-high eight rebounds, while adding 10 points, in the Cougars two-point loss to Ventura on Wednesday, which left the Cougars one-game behind Pirates in the Western State Conference standings. On Saturday, the 2020-21 Team MVP put on a dominant performance as he led the Cougars past the Oxnard Condors. Brooks netted a career-high 27 points, while grabbing seven rebounds, dishing out six assists and snatching a career-high four steals. Brooks currently ranks 17th all time at Cuesta with a 13.1 career scoring average.
