Cuesta Men's Basketball enters the final week of the regular season with a pair of Western State Conference games.  Cuesta hosts #19 Moorpark on Wednesday (5 PM) for the Cougars' "Sophomore Night" and then hit the road for their regular season finale on Friday (5 PM) against LA Pierce in Woodland Hills.  The Cougars are a half-game behind Ventura for 3rd place in the WSC Loop and a pair of wins this week could earn them a playoff berth, especially if they can defend their home court against the loop-leading Raiders on Wednesday.  Of course, Pierce, at 5-20 overall and winless in WSC play, would also love to play the spoiler on the season's final night. 

On Valentine's Day, last Wednesday, the Cougars broke the hearts of Oxnard fans after going on the road to edge their Condors, 65-62.  Oxnard held a two-point lead at the intermission, 29-27, but did not have an answer for Cuesta Forward Ethan Walker.  Walker dominated the paint, while posing career-highs with both 26 points and 19 rebounds.  The Double-Double was his fifth against the WSC and his eighth of the season.  All-WSC Guard Drew Ardouin also added 17 points to the Cougars' efforts.  Cuesta is 11-15 overall and 6-4 in the WSC.
