Aqua-Cats Remain Undefeated at WSC Mini Meet

Cuesta Men's Swim & Dive won six of ten events en route to winning the team's 6th straight meet of the season.  The Cougars' 428 points easily surpassed local rival and meet runner-up Allan Hancock's 258 points as they cruised to victory.  2021 Cuesta Male Athlete of the Year Lucas Esenwein led the team with a pair of wins in his specialty, the freestyle sprints.  He claimed both the marquee 50-freestyle as well as the 100-freestyle, while scoring meet-high 40 individual points.  The Cougars also received titles in two of the other three freestyle events. Returning Freshmen Stash Perry and Caleb Ray brought home the titles in the 200 and 1,650-freestyles, respectively.   Ethan PerryStash Perry's twin brother, added Cuesta's only specialty event win by taking the 200-backstroke. The men are chasing the program's 17th WSC title, they have only been out of the circuit's Top 3 seven times since 1979.   

The Cougars travel to Visalia this Friday for the Sequoias Tri-Meet on Friday (2 PM)
