Cuesta Men's Swimming Continues to Dominate With Win In Visalia

Cuesta Men's Swimming traveled to the College of the Sequoias for a three-team meet in Visalia on Friday.  The men cruised to victory by claiming 46% all of the meet's points for their own.  The Cougars won their seventh straight meet of the season by winning 10 of thirteen events on the day.  The Cougars had seven swimmers among the meet's Top 10 scorers, including the Top 3.  2021 Cuesta Male Athlete of the Year Lucas Esenwein led all scorers with 77 individual points, after winning three events (50 & 100 freestyles, 50 butterfly), while Ethan Perry outpointed his twin brother Stash Perry, 72 to 71, for 2nd place.   Each twin won a pair of events, Ethan won the 50 and 100 backstrokes, while Stash claimed the 500-freestyle and 100-individual medley.  Freshman Dean Moody also added an individual title in the 50-butterfly, while the Cougars took a pair of team titles in the relays to round out the day's haul.  

Cuesta Men's Swimming competes in its third and final Western State Conference Mini-Meet this Friday (11 AM) at the Ventura Aquatics Center.  Cuesta shall host the three-day 2022 Western State Conference Championships starting on April 21.
