Men's Swimming Chases a CCCAA State TItle

Cuesta Men's Swimming crushed the competition at the 2022 Western State Conference Swimming Championships and are undefeated in their ten meets this season.  The Cougars head to the 2022 CCCAA State Championships this weekend for a chance to win the program's first State Title.  Cuesta Men's Swimming has broken eight school records this season, out of 24, and added 25 new Cuesta Top 10 marks for one of the best aquatics programs in the State.  The men won their 17th conference title since 1979 and have placed in the State's Top 10 15 times in the past 30 seasons, including a trio of 2nd place finishes.  2021 Cuesta College Male Athlete of the Year Lucas Esenwein set two new Cuesta Records this season and joined teammates Stash Perry and Andrew Lopez as tri-Western State Conference Swimmers of the Year.  Perry posted a new Cuesta record in the 500-freestyle, while Lopez went on a spree by taking down three Cuesta records in the specialty strokes.  The Cougars have tremendous team depth and talent, plus 2022 Western State Conference Men's Swim Coach of the Year John Marsh.

The 2022 California Community College Athletic Association State Swim & Dive Championship will be held this Thursday, Friday and Saturday at East LA College.
