Coral has be renowned for decades as San Luis Obispo County's finest diving coach. She first joined the Cuesta Aquatics program in 1993 and mentored dozens of All Americans and several State Champions, before taking a break after joining Cuesta's Kinesiology as a faculty member in 2004. Coral has never been far from the boards and rejoined the program this year.
Coral competed as a swimmer and diver at Chabot College in 1982 and 1983, before moving on to CSU Hayward (now East Bay). She was a two-time NCAA DII Championship Qualifier for the Pioneers. Coral earned her degree in Business Administration and moved on to get a degree in Acounting from UC Santa Barbara, before getting her Master's in Kinesiology from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
Coral began as a Diving Coach at Santa Barbara High School in 1988, before moving to SLO in 1990. She is a former USA Diving Board Member.
Coral lives in nearby Los Osos.
