Coach Brian Locher says, " Finished first in Shot Put at WSC and 1st in Discus at WSC. 48' Shot Put ranks him in the top 10 all time at Cuesta. His disc toss of 188'8" in 2021 ranks him #1 All Time at Cuesta in the Discus (it's not even close). His toss of 187'9" in 2022 still ranks him as the 4th farthest discus thrower in the CCCAA in the past 20 years. If he can throw over 198' by state, he will overtake Robert Slowik of Moorpark (2004) as the best discus thrower in the past 20 years. That is completely doable. He is currently ranked #2 nationally for community college athletes in the Discus by less than 5 feet. He should qualify to state in the shot put and is the odds-on favorite to win the disc at State and that competition won't be close. He has not lost a Discus or Shot Put competition all year (except for fouling 4 throws at CP)
