Talia joined the Cougars' staff in 2024 as the program's Sprint & Relay Coach. She hails from nearby Atascadero and starred for Atascadero High in Track & Field. She competed for the Greyhounds in the sprints, hurdles and long and triple jumps. She still ranks among the Greyhounds all-time Top 10 in several events and still owns the 4x100 and 4x200 relay records. After high school, Talia competed at Whittier College for current Cuesta Coach Robert Neely. She was one of the Poets top sprinters during her three COVID-interrupted seasons and concluded her career with a trip to the NCAA DIII National Championships. She graduated from Whittier in 20023 with a double-major of Kinesiology and Spanish.
Talia currently resides in nearby Atascadero.
