Former Cuesta Star Aleksa Sisakovic Earns NCAA All America Honors

Former Cuesta Water Polo Star Aleksa Sisakovic (Belgrade, SRB) spent this season playing for St Francis College in Brooklyn and became a star for the Terriers too. Sisakovic earned All-America honors for Cuesta College in 2019 and, after losing most of his 2020 season to the pandemic, returned to action as a member of the Terriers squad. Sisakovic scored 44 goals and dished out 40 assists during his first season of NCAA competition.  His performance for the Terriers earned him the notice of coaches across the country and he was selected to the 2021 NCAA All America Honorable Mention list.  Sisakovic, a native of Serbia, came to Cuesta through Beaverton, Oregon. He starred at Southridge High School before heading to SLO and then on to New York.   The Terriers were 16-7 on the season and reached the Northeast Water Polo Conference (NWPC) title game, where a narrow loss to Princeton, 9-6, denied them a bid to the 2021 NCAA Championship Tournament    Sisakovic is the fifth former Cuesta Men's Water Polo player to earn NCAA All-America honors and the first since Brady Moore was recognized for the University of the Pacific in 2015.  He is also only the second former Cuesta player to earn all-America honors during his first season at the NCAA level.
