Men's Polo Returns to Action with a Full Dance Card

Men's Water Polo played only one game last week, so the well-rested and #3-ranked Cougars are set for their busiest week of the season.  The Cougars kick off their competitive week on Wednesday and shall play seven games over four days.  Cuesta's "easy day" is a home game against WSC rival #8 LA Valley, on Wednesday (4 PM).  The Cougars and Monarchs have shared the past 11 WSC titles- Cuesta 6 and LA Valley 5.  On Thursday, the Cougars are in Glendora to complete their 2022 WSC Single-Game Schedule against Santa Monica (12:30) and host Citrus (2:50).  The Poloists shall step up a level over the weekend with a quartet of contests against four-year schools.  On Friday, Cuesta will be in Riverside for the Cal Baptist Tournament.  They are matched with UC Santa Barbara (11:40) and host Cal Baptist (4:20), who are ranked, respectfully, #8 and #16 nationally.  On Saturday, Cuesta heads to La Mirada for a twinbill at Biola University.  The Cougars open the day against Toronto University (1:45) and close out the weekend against the host Eagles (4 PM).

The Cougars victory, 16-4, over Ventura last Wednesday was their first Western State Conference game. Cuesta was able to empty the bench against their old foe and ten players scored in the contest.  The Pirates are currently under sanctions this season and are not eligible for the post-season.   Cuesta is currently 12-1 overall and 1-0 against the WSC.
