Harriers Claim 5th Place in Season Opener

Men's Cross Country kicked off its 2022 campaign in Oxnard last Friday with a 5th place finish at the OC Cross Country Invitational in Oxnard.  The Harriers five-man team finished 5th in the eight-team field, which included 2022 CCCAA State Runner-up Mt San Antonio and two other returning state qualifying teams.  2021 State Qualifier Jordan Reilly finished 11th overall (21:09.3) in the 78-man race to lead the Cougars.  Steepler Axel Reich, as the second Cuesta Harrier to cross the finish line, made a smooth transition to the flat and obstacle-free course to finish 32nd (23:16.6).  The rest of the Cougars' pack crossed the over the next 30 places.  Freshman Deegan Miller landed in 49th (24.53.1) and Returner Nic Moore finished 58th (25:33.1), just steps ahead of Freshman Jorge Merced (26:00.2), who completed the squad.

The Harriers have scheduled this week off to asses and train in preparation for the 2022 SoCal Preview on September 23.
