Harriers Advance to the 2022 CCCAA Southern Regional Meet

Cuesta Men's Cross-Country heads to the 2022 CCCAA Southern Regional Meet this Friday (11/12 PM) in Bakersfield.  The men's team is led by returning State Qualifier Jordan Reilly, who has been the Cougars top finisher in all five of their starts.  Reilly also made his second appearance on the all-Western State Conference Second Team, where he was joined by Freshman Anthony Erikson.  Erikson has been within 30 seconds of Reilly in each of his past three starts and has closed the gap in each race.  The duo is also backed by four more potential scoring racers.  All-WSC Honorable Mention Axel Reich and Returning State Qualifier Nic Moore join Freshmen Deegan Miller and Jorge Merced to give the Cougars enough depth and talent to push for a return to the CCCAA State Meet.

A strong placing at the regional finals would vault the Cougars into the CCCAA State Championship the week before Thanksgiving.  Cuesta Men's Cross Country has reached the State Meet in 11 of the past 13 seasons, including the 2014 season when current Head Coach Connor Fisher was on the course.  Reilly and Moore would also be the Cougars' first two-time State Qualifiers since Kobi Kelly in 2016-17.
