Softball Continues Roadtrip at Ventura and Oxnard This Week

Cuesta Softball has played only one home game since St. Patrick's Day will not be back on their home field until the Thursday before Easter.  The Cougars are 1-5 on their roadtrip and are scheduled to play two Western State Conference games in Ventura County this week.  They play at Ventura on Tuesday (2:30) and at Oxnard on Thursday (2:30).  

The Cougars played only one game last week, an extra-inning WSC loss at Santa Barbara City, 9-8.  The setback dropped the Cougars to 11-20 on the season and 2-4 in the Western State Conference.  

Cuesta Shortstop Alura Neill (pict) has been on a hot streak all March.  She batted .413 over the month with 13 runs and eight RBI in 15 games, while also swiping 11 bases.  On the season, she leads the Cougars with a .366 average and 26 runs scored, while also ranking 8th in the State with 18 stolen bases.
