Softball opens the week by hosting local rival Allan Hancock on Wednesday (2:30) for a Western State Conference (WSC) game rescheduled from last Thursday.  Cuesta also travels to Moorpark on Thursday (2:30) to face defending WSC Champion Moorpark.  

The Cougars are looking for their first win against their local rivals from Santa Maria since 2017.  Of course, the Cougars and Bulldogs have only played six games since Cuesta's own five-game winning streak was ended in 2018.  The Cougars and Bulldogs also did not play in in either 2020 or 2021, due to the pandemic, when Cuesta posted a 25-8 overall record and lost only one game against a conference opponent.  When the Cougars travel to Moorpark they will find the Raiders currently in the WSC Cellar.  Moorpark is currently 1-10 on the season and winless against the WSC.
