Women's Basketball beat MiraCosta, 62-55, last Monday, December 20, to conclude the Grossmont Tournament and end a two-game losing streak.  Freshman Guard Olivia Missler (Atascadero: Mission Prep) and Freshman Center Hailie Abel (San Miguel: Paso Robles HS) led the Cougars past the Spartans.  Missler netted a team-high with both 19 points and three assists, while Abel recorded her sixth double-double of the season with 14 points and 12 rebounds.  The Cougars, 7-6 on the year.

The Cagers were set for a return to action this week with two games on their schedule.  Unfortunately, word out of Monterey Peninsula is that the Lobos need to postpone this Thursday's game, however a make-up date has yet to be announced.  The Cougars still plan to play against Hartnell in Salinas on Thursday, December 30 (3 PM).  Cuesta begins its 2021-22 Western State Conference Schedule when they host Oxnard on January 5 (7 PM)
