Women's Basketball traveled to Santa Monica for the team's first road game of the 2022-23 campaign and fell to host Corsairs, 63-50.  On Saturday, the Cougars jumped out early with a 16-10 lead in the first quarter, but Santa Monica reversed the totals in the second quarter, and they went into the intermission tied, 26-26.  The Corsairs kept up their momentum in the second half and outscored the Cougars by six and seven points in the last two quarters to take the game, 63-50.  2021 All-WSC First Teamer Olivia Missler joined Freshman Abigail Lacy (pict) to lead the team with 11 points each.  Freshman Maria Ferrer Brao (pict) added six points to the Cougars' cause, while also leading the team with four assists, three steals and, eight rebounds.  The Cougars are 0-2 on the season.  

Cuesta remains on the road this week to play at Porterville on Saturday (1 PM).  The Pirates are 1-1 on the season.
