Women's Hoops Continues to Roll Into the New Year

Women's Basketball went undefeated at the Grossmont Tournament and their three tournament wins have allowed the Cougars to put some distance on their slow start to the season.  The Cougars opened the tournament against Grossmont and outpointed the host Griffins, 40-39, to start their run.  In their semi-final against Desert, the Cougars enjoyed their finest game of the season with a 58-point win over the Roadrunners, 81-23, to advance to the final.  Cuesta beat MiraCosta by a basket, 61-59, to wrap up the tournament.  2022 All-WSC First Teamer Olivia Missler (pict) was selected to the all-Grossmont Tournament team.  The Cougars, who began the season 0-7, are currently 6-8 overall.

The Cougars remain on the road to play a pair of games at Monterey Peninsula and Hartnell on Thursday in Monterey (5 PM) and Salinas on Friday (3 PM), respectively.
