Coach Casey Blair brings a wealth of experience as he revitalizes the Cuesta Women’s Basketball program.   Blair was uniquely qualified take on the rebuilding process.  He has spent the past 13 seasons as the Assistant Coach of the men’s team and helped lead the Cuesta men to six conference titles and nine playoff berths.  In his first year at the helm, Blair was selected as the 2022 Western State Conference Coach of the Year, after leading the Cougars to a 12-13 record and to 4th place in the circuit.  

Blair began his collegiate playing career at Cuesta and was a two-time all-Conference Point Guard for the Cougars in 2007 and 2008 and still ranks in Cuesta’s All Time Top 10 for career assists, steals and three-point percentage.  After Cuesta, he played professionally in Belgium for one season before starting his coaching career.  Blair is the third Cuesta Women's Basketball Coach.  The program began under Ed Musolff (425-418) in 1980-81 and when he retired former men's assistant Ron Barba (129-123) took the reins from until 2021.  

Blair completed his bachelor’s degree from Columbia College, Master's Degree in Kinesiology from University of Central Missouri, and teaching credential from Alliant University. Casey and his wife Lies live in Atascadero with their son Kian and daughter June.
