Grapplers Fall at Bakersfield- Prepare for a Week at Home

Cuesta Wrestling dropped its third straight SouthEast Conference Dual with a loss at Bakersfield, 24-15, on Wednesday.  The Cuesta Grapplers won three of the nine bouts in the dual, but their forfeit at 125-pounds put the 6th-ranked Renegades over the top.   The Cougars, ranked 10th in the State, are built more for tournaments than duals and will host both this week.   Cuesta will be in front of its home crowd for the first time this year as they host three separate events.  On Wednesday, the Cougars will have a doubleheader with Cuesta Women's Volleyball (5 PM) as the Spikers host rival Ventura for a Western State Conference match and the Grapplers host West Hills-Lemoore (7 PM) for a SouthEast Conference Dual.  Wrestling completes its 2021 dual schedule on Friday (6 PM) in another SEC bout against Moorpark (6 PM).  Their match with the Raiders will get both teams ready for Cuesta's Meathead Mover Invitational on Saturday (All Day).  Cuesta is 0-3 in duals this year.
