Wrestling concluded the 2021 season with 10th at the 2021 CCCAA State Wrestling Championships and had previously landed in 3rd place in the SouthEast Conference's final standings, despite a 1-4 mark in dual meets. Cuesta qualified four wrestlers for the 2021 CCCAA State Wrestling Championships, who were combined 8-10 at the championships.  All four of the Cougars' State Qualifiers- Humphrey Quirie (Tuolumne), Sami Barakat (Danville), Gabe Carrillo (Simi Valley) and Nicolas Banas (San Jose) were among the six Cuesta grapplers to earn all-SouthEast Conference honors. Quirie, who the Cougars' top place winner at the CCCAA State Meet, was also the team's lone representative on the All-SouthEast Conference First Team.

165- Two-time State Qualifier Humphrey Quirie (Tuolumne) was named to the 2021 SouthEast Conference First Team and won the SEC title at 165.  Humphrey ended the season with a 20-11 record, including a 13-6 mark at 165.  He finished the season by taking 4th place at the 2021 CCCAA Regional Meet, while his 6th place finish at CCCAA State Championship made him the Cougars' top place winner.  Freshman Gabe Carrillo (Simi Valley) lost to Quirie at the SouthEast Conference title match and earned all-SEC Honorable Mention.  Carrillo landed directly behind his teammate at both the Regional and State, at 5th and 7th places, respectively.  Carrillo was second on the team in wins with an 18-14 overall record, including a 13-9 mark at 165.

157- Freshman Sami Barakat (Danville) was named to the 2021 SouthEast Conference Second Team, while 2019 State Qualifier Kai Schaefer (Placerville) was accorded all-SEC Honorable Mention.  Barakat finished the season 12-13 overall and 10-12 at 157.  He finished 5th at the 2021 CCCAA Regional Meet and posted an 8th place finish at CCCAA State Championship.  Schaefer did not qualify for the post-season but ended the season with the same 9-9 record he compiled in 2019 during his freshman season.

149- Two-time All-SEC Honorable Mention choice Jacob Yamaguchi (Kapolei HS, HI- PICT) was 12-12 this season and 11-11 at 149, however he sat out the SEC Tournament with an injury.  Luckily, Yamaguchi's reputation and his performance during the Cougars' SEC Dual Meets earned him all-SEC recognition.  Yamaguchi was 26-22 over his career.

174- 2021 All-SEC Honorable Mention choice Nicolas Banas (San Jose) was also a 2021 CCCAA State Qualifier. Banas advanced out of the SEC Tournament and claimed 5th place at the 2021 CCCAA Regional Meet, however he lost both his matches at 2021 CCCAA State Championship.  Banas was 5-6 at 174 and 8-10 overall on the season.
