Cuesta College Athletics Department is proud to announce this month's selections for the Cuesta Athlete of the Month. This distinct honor recognizes two Cuesta College Athletes each month during the school year who have performed to the highest standards in their sport. Our male selection for November is Grappler Leon Tippett
Wrestler Leon Tippett earned all-SouthEast Conference First Team honors with a perfect run at the 2022 SEC Tournament. He went 2-0 in the meet at the 184-division and captured the Cougars' only individual title at the event. Tippett also accounted for the 19 of his team's 72 total points. He is currently 12-8 on the season, including one loss at 197, and will be chasing a CCCAA State Title in December.
Cuesta Wrestling will compete in the CCCAA Regional and State Championship Meets in December
