Women's Soccer is amid a rebuilding year and Coach Kaleb Lique Naitove has the team playing hard and working together, however they also play in an eight-team conference that boasts six of the State's Top 25 teams.  Today the hardworking and competitive Cougars dropped to 1-10 on the season and 0-6 against their Western State Conference opponents, after falling to #15 Los Angeles Pierce, 4-0.  The visiting Brahmas scored three times in the first half and added a fourth after the intermission. Cuesta Goaltender Averi Nerpel was under fire all day, but still posted 12 saves during her 90 minutes between the pipes as the Brahmas sent 19 viable shots her way. 

Next up for the Cougars is a trip to #20 Ventura on Friday (5:30).  The Pirates beat the Cougars, 5-1, in the first round of WSC play in SLO.
