Women's Soccer Falls to Santa Barbara, 3-0, Ends Season at Pierce on Friday

Women's Soccer hosted #19 Santa Barbara on "Sophomore Day" and fell, 3-0.  The Cougars' roster boasts three sophomores back from 2021 and three returners from their abbreviated 2022 campaign.  Third-year players CeeCee TuckerHannah Flanagan and Caitlin Flanagan were celebrated prior to the game, along with Kylie Beeby, who began playing with the Cougars last year.   Tucker is currently tied for the team lead with both two goals and five overall points.  She, Beeby and Caitlin Flanagan also accounted for all, but one, of the team's assists on the season and combined to score third of the Cougars' goals.  The quartet have helped lead the program through its post-Covid struggles and laid the groundwork from a strong 2024 season.

The Cougars will wrap up their 2023 campaign against another potential playoff team when they travel to Woodland Hills to face Los Angeles Pierce in Friday's (4 PM) season finale.  The Cougars, who fell to the Brahma in their first meeting in SLO, are currently 1-14-1 on the season and 0-10-1 in WSC play.  This season marks the Cougars' first time have landed in the WSC's cellar since 2012.
