Cuesta Women's Swimming took 5th place at the 20-team, 2022 Mt San Antonio Swim & Dive Invitational, despite making the trip with only four swimmers.  The Cougars all tasted victory on the weekend as the quartet combined to win the 200-freestyle relay, while Returning Freshman Meghan Abbott (pict) claimed the team's only individual title in the 500-freestyle (5:39.67).  Abbott and True-Freshman Jensen Perry both scored 57 individual points at the three-day meet, while Chloe Porter and Anna Kreowski added 40 and 36 points, respectively.  Sierra won the title, while host Mt SAC, WSC-rival Santa Barbara and Sequoias also landed ahead of the Cougars in the final standings.  

The Cougars take this week off and return to action on March 10 for the Cuesta Sprint Meet.  On March 11 the Cougars host the 43rd Cuesta-Arena Invitational.  The invitational was formerly the largest collegiate invitational in the nation, with over 40 teams and 2,000 participants, but, due to COVID, less than half that number is expected to attend this year's event.
