The day's final scores have not been posted, but the members of the Cuesta Women's Swim & Dive team know they are in the medal hunt after the first day of the 43rd Cuesta Swim & Dive Invitational.  Sophomore Annie Bartolome (pict) and Returning Freshman Meghan Abbott (pict) led the team.  Abbott was the first Cougar on the medal stand when she powered to 2nd place in the day's first individual race, the grueling 1,650-freestyle.  Bartolome picked up two more Silvers with runner-up finishes in  both the 200-individual Medley and the 200-backstroke.  The duo also helped the Cougars finish second in both the 200 and 800-freestyle relays.  

Tomorrow the Cougars will battle for a title in the 43rd Cuesta Invitational. The Cougars finished 3rd in Thursday's Cuesta Sprint Meet, however full results have not been posted.
