Women's Swimming is down to five competitors this year and, after finishing 4th in the ten-team Western State Conference Finals, the entire quintet has qualified for the 2022 CCCAA State Championships this weekend at East LA College.  The Cougars are led by four-time school record holder Annie Bartolome and the team has combined to add 15 new Cuesta Top 10 marks this season.  The 'Cuesta Five' reached the finals (Top 8) in 13 of their 14 races at the 2022 Western State Conference Finals two weeks ago, including two more titles from Distance Freestyler Meghan Abbott, and crushed the competition in the relays.  The Cougars won three of the five relays, while also taking one runner-up spot and a fourth place.  Cuesta Women's Swimming has placed in the State's Top 10 thirteen times since the program began in 1979, including a 2nd and three 3rd place finishes. 

The 2022 California Community College Athletic Association State Swim & Dive Championship will be held this Thursday, Friday and Saturday at East LA College.
