Women's Track and Field travelled to Lancaster for a Western State Conference Meet on Friday and won the competition at Antelope Valley College.  The women's team claimed five of the 16 individual events on the day to win the seven-team event.  Freshman Dulce Esquivel (pict) and Returner Natalia Delgado (pict) helped lead the women's team with wins on the track and in the field, respectively.  Esquivel won both the 1,500-meter (5:14.88) and 3,000-meter (12:09.76) runs, while Delgado paced the field with a toss of 38' 5" in the Shot Put.  Newcomer Madeleine Fletcher added two more wins to the Cougars' collection by taking both the 200m (:27.37) and 800m (2:31.74) events.   

COMING UP- Cuesta Track & Field next competes on May 14 with a meet at Moorpark College and end the season two weeks later.  They travel to Lancaster for the 2021 Western State Conference Preliminary Meet at Antelope Valley College on May 21 and close the season at the 2021 WSC Championships at Bakersfield College on May 28.
