Coach Whitney Meyer says, "Katey provided steady leadership to our team throughout the season and was dynamic as an offensive threat.  Her all-around play contributed to the team's success and she played in every single set this season.  Katey was a pillar in our team's serve receive passing which allowed our setters to distribute to our attackers.  From the net, Katey puts up an aggressive block and powers the ball down the line with ferocity.  She contributed 236 kills with 2.65 kills per set and added 39 service aces along with 223 digs.  We are very excited to see Katey continue to grow in her sophomore season and look forward to a bright future." 

Note- Cuesta College Athletics will be posting its annual Athlete of the Year Award Winners and Nominees over this week. Each team's nominee will be profiled over the next two days The overall winners will be announced on Thursday (George Silveria Career Award & Warren Hansen Scholar-Athletes) and Friday (Male & Female Outstanding Athletes of the Year).  The Coach and Fan of the Year shall be posted next Tuesday. We hope to be back in person next Spring!
