Women's Volleyball Returns Home To Start Second Round of WSC Play

Women's Volleyball is back on campus this week after ending the first round of Western State Conference play on the road.  The Cougars have a WSC-bye on Wednesday and host Los Angeles Pierce on Friday at 4 PM.  The Spikers game has been moved up from the usual time of 6 PM to make room for the Cougars' annual volleyball/wrestling doubleheader.  Cuesta's Grapplers are set for a SouthEast Conference Dual Meet versus East Los Angeles (6 PM) as a warm-up for Saturday's 20th Meathead Mover Wrestling Invitational.

The Spikers dropped a pair of WSC road matches last week.  On Wednesday, they were swept at Moorpark as the 17th-ranked Raiders won 25-12, 25-16, 25-16.  On Friday, Cuesta came out strong at #23 Santa Barbara and stole Game 1, however the host Vaqueros recovered for the four-set win, 23-25, 25-10, 25-23, 25-19.  The Cougars are now 12-10 overall and 1-4 in WSC play.
