Doug has built an impressive playing and coaching resume during his volleyball career. This is his second stint on the Cougars' coaching staff. He helped the Cougars through the rebuilding season of 2005 and left after the Cougars won back-to-back Western State Conference titles in 2006 and 2007. He returned to the program in 2018 for Coach Whitney Meyer's second season. Doug has been a club coach for more than 40 years and has also spent time on the coaching staffs of Oklahoma State and Long Beach State. Doug played two years at Golden West College, before earning his bachelor’s degree in Finance at San Diego State. He later earned his MBA in Economics at University of Phoenix. Doug lives in Atascadero with his with Kathy. They have three daughters- Heather, Amber and, Brooke.
