Laura joins the women's volleyball coaching staff and brings a wealth of collegiate playing and coaching experience. Brophy was a key player on UCLA's Women's Volleyball team for four seasons and began coaching while she completed her degree in Psychobiology in 2008. On the court, she solidified the Bruins' defense and helped lead them to four straight NCAA Tournament berths, including a NCAA Final Four appearence as a Senior. She spent the next season combining her studies and coaching with the Sunshine Volleyball Club. After graduation, she spent the next four years coaching with Sports Shack Volleyball, before turning to the prep ranks. She led the Malborough School's team in 2009 and 2010, before spending one more season at the club level with the Payes Volleyball Club.
Laura is married to Kevin Brophy and they live in San Luis Obispo with their toddler Chuck.
