Cuesta Women's Water Polo returns to action this week when the Cougars host the 23rd Cuesta/Mechanics Bank Invitational.  The Invitational is one of the premier tournaments in the State and is loaded with Top 10 teams.  The eight-team field includes four of the past five CCCAA State Champions and boasts a dozen State Titles over the past 16 seasons.  Cuesta opens the event on Friday against 2021 State Runner-up and current #2 Santa Barbara City (9 AM) in a Western State Conference game.  The contest is officially a WSC game for both teams.  After that, it doesn't get much easier for the Cougars, who close out their first day against 2021 CCCAA State Semi-Finalist and current #3 Fullerton (12:30).  On Saturday, Cuesta plays two more 2021 playoff teams, Regional Semi-Finalist Sierra (9:20) and American River (2 PM).
