Women's Water Polo took 3rd place at the 2022 Western State Conference Tournament, held in their home tank.  The Cougars beat Citrus, 8-6, in the Third Place game to remain in playoff contention with a 14-14 overall record.  A dozen teams from the CCCAA's southern region will qualify for the post-season and Citrus entered this weekend favored to claim the final spot.  Cuesta will now be the third team on the board from the WSC, behind today's title contenders #4 Santa Barbara and #13 Ventura.  The seeding meeting will take place this Sunday. 

In the win over Citrus, Returning Freshman Center Anna Kreowski netted a "hat trick" against the Owls, while Freshman Presley Acosta added two more tallies to lead the Cougars.  In the cage, Freshman Goalie Hanna Bonham (pict) collected eight saves to secure the win.
