Women's Harriers Set to Run at Legg Lake

Cuesta Women's Cross Country looks forward to the 2021 Western State Conference Cross Country Championship at Legg Lake in Whittier. The women's have medaled (Top 3) in six of the past ten seasons but have not won a title since 1993.

The women's team has been on the verge of a big race all season.  The Cougars have depth and talent and enter this weekend off a two-week bye and healthy.  The Harriers also served notice with second fastest team time in the WSC Preview race, but this time they should have their whole team ready to compete.    Returning Freshmen Julia Voss (SLO HS) and Dulce Esquivel (SLO HS) have traded the team's top spot all season, but Voss also took the overall title at the Sequoias Invitational.   The Cougars also have plenty of talent in their pack. 2019 All-WSC Harrier Shannon Ferrall (Arroyo Grande HS) and Returning Freshman Emily Mathein (Paso Robles HS), along with True Freshmen Chloe Denham (Moorpark HS) and Adrienne Frere (Morro Bay HS) have all made the Cougars' scoring team (Top 5) in each their starts.
