Women's Harriers Cruise Into State Contention

Cuesta Women's Cross Country hit the end of the 2021 campaign in stride.  The Harriers announced themselves a trophy contender for the 2021 CCCAA State Championship with a 5th finish at the 2021 CCCAA Regional Championship at Irvine Regional Park.  The Cougars' followed their runner-up performance at the 2021 Western State Conference Finals.   2021 All-WSC First Teamers Julia Voss (SLO HS) and Dulce Esquivel (SLO HS) also made the all-SoCal 1st and 2nd teams, while taking 8th and 27th places, respectively.  Two weeks ago, the Cougars boasted eight all-conference selections, however with a smaller squad last weekend they still had all seven of their allotted competitors across the line in the top 73 spots of the 125-woman field.
