Cuesta Women's Cross-Country shall send three harriers to the 2022 CCCAA Southern Regional Meet this Friday (11/12 PM) in Bakersfield.  Sophomores Dulce Esquivel and Adrienne Frere join Freshman Paige Medrano to form one of the toughest trios in the State.  Esquivel and Frere are both making a return trip to the post-season, where the excelled in 2021.  Esquivel was named to the all-Region Second Team after landing in 27th place, while Frere earned honorable mention in 45th place.  Esquivel dropped to 34th overall at the State Meet, however Frere repeated her 45th place finish in the season finale.  The addition of Medrano has lifted the Cougars' small non-scoring squad up a notch.  Medrano has been on Esquivel's heals all season and was the Cougars' lone representative on the 2022 All-WSC First Team, while Esquivel and Frere earned second team and honorable mention, respectively.  All three are in position to earn an at-large berth to the 2022 CCCAA State Championship.
