Cuesta Athletics' newest team returns to action this weekend with a Western State Conference Doubleheader at Santa Barbara this Friday.  The Cougars face the host Vaqueros on the Santa Barbara's East Strand Beach at 10 AM and then play Bakersfield at Noon.  The host Vaqueros are currently tied atop the WSC standings, as one of three undefeated teams in the circuit, while Cuesta and Bakersfield are currently 0-2 and 0-1 against the WSC.  The Renegades and Cougars are also nearly identical overall at 2-7 and 2-8 overall.  

Last week, the Cougars dropped their first two Western State Conference contests, by losing in straights sets to both Moorpark and Ventura.
