Cuesta Beach Volleyball is spending its second straight week in the North as they travel to Gilroy this week for another non-conference doubleheader.  On Friday the Cougars open against host Gilroy (10 AM), before playing San Joaquin Delta (11 AM).   The host Rams were one of the CCCAA's original nine teams in 2015 and Delta hit the beach in 2018, while the Cougars are in their second season in the sand.  This year Cuesta is starting to catch up, as the Cougars have already played six matches, while the Rams and Mustangs have combined to play only five.  Cuesta opens against Gavilan at 10 AM and go straight into a match with Delta at 11 AM.  The Rams and Mustang will close on the day at Noon, while the Cougars head back to SLO.  

Cuesta was also up in North last Friday for two matches at Monterey Peninsula.  The Cougars stunned the host Lobos, who were a playoff team in 2024, by taking the first match, 3-2, but MPC bounced back to take the nightcap, 4-1 and settled for the split.  The Cougars are an even 3-3 on the season.
