Last Friday, Cuesta Women's Beach Volleyball travelled to Torrance for a doubleheader against Mt San Antonio and host El Camino.  They opened with the Mounties, a 2024 playoff team, and were swept, 5-0.  The Cougars also took a shot at host El Camino, who has not been above .500, since reaching the State Tournament the year before the pandemic.  Cuesta's #1 pair, Emma Watkins and returning all-WSC Beacher Bailey Woodside, led off with a win, 21-19 and 22-20, but the host Warriors took the other four matches in straight sets to claim the match.  The pair of losses drops the Cougars to 4-6 overall.

Cuesta's Sand Spikers do not return to action until they host Lassen in a Cougars versus Cougars battle on March 12 (NOTE: Lassen matches postponed until March 18)  Cuesta plays Ventura and Moorpark at Santa Monica this Friday (1/3 PM)
