Cuesta Beach Volleyball is set to host a Western State Conference tripleheader with Glendale and Bakersfield this Friday (10 AM) at Cal Poly's Swanson Beach Volleyball Complex. The Cougars play the opener against Glendale and then take a break, while the Vaqueros take on Bakersfield, before closing the day with a re-match against the Renegades at 1 PM. The tri-meet shall conclude the Cougars' first swing through the Western State Conference. They are currently 4-10 overall and o-4 in WSC Play.
Last week the Cougars dropped a pair of WSC matches in Santa Barbara. They were swept in the opener by the SBCC, the WSC's other set of Vaqueros, 5-0, but battled Bakersfield to the end. The Cougars won at #2, with Madelyn Freeman and Bailey Woodside (pict), and with their new combination at #5, Katie Hesch and Rosita Menta. However, the Renegades controlled the other three matches, by a six-set total of 134-88, to take the match.
