Cuesta Baseball dropped today's Western State Conference contest to Santa Barbara City, 6-4, and fell to 1-1 in conference play and 8-5 overall.  Cuesta's Starting Pitcher Andrew Seibert pitched into the 9th inning but was saddled with the loss after the Cougars posted their fewest runs in a game since the second day of the season.  Outfielder Nathan Reese and Shortstop Diego Murillo (pict) both enjoyed a multi-hit game for the Cougars, who were out-hit, 11-to-7, on the day.  Cuesta will have another shot at the Vaqueros next week as they continue their WSC schedule.

The Cougars have four games on the schedule next week, including a re-match with the Vaqueros.  Cuesta plays at Ventura on Tuesday (2 PM) and Saturday (1 PM) and splits those two games with a game at Santa Barbara City on Wednesday (2 PM), while also squeezing in a home game against Ventura on Thursday (2 PM)
